We’ll get to the ending scene later but I have to say how much David B. punched me in the gut in this second. Brennan utters those words and his reaction, so subtle but very painful, it hurts. It really, really hurts. He is so discreet but it’s written all over his face as he hears those words and oh, it makes my heart ache.

I don’t think she ever notices how much she hurts him.
